Assessing for Trauma and Complex Needs at Step 2 was delivered by Dr Richard Stott on Wednesday 19th June. Richard was joined by practitioners of all experience levels, from those in training right up to those in senior leadership.
Not only did attendees gain useful techniques to reduce burnout and increase their wellbeing whilst delivering trauma focused assessments, colleagues from across the country also learnt to assess and identify complexity within assessment protocols, discovered how to improve trauma informed practice and evaluate suitability, and learnt new skills to help identify and assess complexity and trauma, whilst enhancing their understanding of when to implement targeted interventions.
Engaging presentations, thought provoking discussions and expertly guided case studies
Participants developed confidence in delivering effective interventions by focusing on:
- Understanding how complexity can present during your assessments
- Learning new skills to help you distinguish between current and historic trauma
- Developing new skills to manage the pressure and prevent burnout
- Implementing trauma informed approaches to assessments
- Enabling patients to feel connected and validated in assessment
- Boosting your confidence in making clinical decision making
- Determining the differences between complexity and PTSD
- Evolving your communication skills to have effective conversations about trauma
Developed with convenience in mind
